WELCOME TO DETROIT DRINKS
Conditioned by scarcity, wealth, and cars, in that order, we find things to eat and drink. Internets tangle with intermodal freight and we container-dive to live -- or just to stay interested. Here is our Pinot Grigio and chipotle. Here is our bread and butter.

A freight container is a dumpster.

There's a fruit market outside my house. On a typical Saturday morning I hear the hauler slam a freshly emptied dumpster down onto the pavement. Dogs in every direction cheer this event in a cascade of howling, moving closer and finishing with the beast closest, on the floor next to me.

Time to get breakfast.

This is a site about certain foods and drinks found in the Detroit metropolitan area: brands you know and one-of-a-kind. Look for entirely random buying links, or ignore them. Kickbacks are invited only so that I can call mocking attention to them. Disclosures of interest will be unlimited except to preserve the story.

Since March of 2008 I have been earning some income from a local wine wholesaler. My contract requires me to create point of sale media.

Please share your judgment, as I rely on it.
